Responsibilities:
• Being member of the respective transition team to relocate accounting activities to Bucharest
• Achieves individual and team objectives set by SLA (Service Contracts) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
• Analyzing complex financial reports and records
• Making recommendations based on analysis and status of assets and expenditures
• Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
• Training and mentoring junior staff
• Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations
• Assisting with financial and tax audits
• Actively participate in internal and external audit procedures, resolve all audit requests (financial and tax) within the agreed timeline
• Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team
• Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality
• Performs other duties as assigned by direct superiors and managers
Qualifications:
• Preferably international accounting certificate obtained, or in progress
• Proficiency in working with ERP, preferably SAP FI module
• University degree in the field of accounting, finance and economics
• Strong accounting background
• Several years of working experience preferably in large/global organizations
• Good technical knowledge of MS office
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results to tight deadlines
• Ability to understand complex environments
• Self-motivation, quick learning and creative thinking
• Very good English language skills, additional European languages are very beneficial
